Here is a screencast on how to create a quiz in moodle. It’s pretty short, simple, and sweet. But should be helpful!
I’ve also given you two versions, one youtube, and one viddler, so you can compare the vague differences in quality and decide which you like better, seeing exactly the same screencast.

Great tutorial, very well explained.
It looks as though one of the options when you are setting up the quiz is being able to actually require them to be AT a particular place when they are doing the quiz - if you don’t want them to be able to do it at home. Cool feature, don’t you think!?

Hi Talia - one of the great things about the Viddler player, even though on first glance the video quality differences appear unnoticeable, is that you can go full screen - and then ask the video player to resize the video to the original size.
To do this: Click Menu > Full Screen > and then Original size.
I think it makes for a much better experience when dealing with large videos like this.
From a screencast publisher’s perspective, allow me to give you a few quick tips that may negate the need for your viewers to go through these few steps.
The first thing you may want to consider is the space you are using in your screencasts. Most screencasts do not require the viewer to see the entire screen, but perhaps only a section of the screen that they are working with. Many screen capturing applications would allow you to constrain the viewable area to a size that would be about the same size dimensions as our player. By doing this, you’d end up increasing the quality of the presentation through our player, and would also focus the viewer on the active area. From recent memory, here is a fairly good example of what I’m talking about.
Another thing to consider is that typically our player is embedded at the default size you’ve chosen to embed it at here, just by simply copying and pasting the HTML code into your blog post. However, you could embed it at any size you want. You could embed it at roughly the dimensions of your video - and it would look even better without going full screen.
I hope this helps, and thanks for giving Viddler a try!

Hi Colin,
Thanks for the tips, they will help me a lot!! I have just got into screencasting, so it’s all very new!!
The thing I like about embedding it at the size they’re at now, is that they fit well into the blog section of my site. Anything bigger and it goes a little crazy… But I will look to change the size of the recording part of the screen!!
I currently use ScreenFlow for my screeencasts, can you recommend anything different? I will experiement a bit more with it though to see if I can get it to do what I want it too.
Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it (and the twitter link!)
